If you game site has not yet appeared on the approved list, it may well be because their application is held up in the post, unfortunately this is beyond UKARA's control.
Once you are a member of a UKARA game site and have been a regular there for more than two months, having played at least 3 times, you can get your form verified and then send it off with your next order to a UKARA retailer.
You will have to do this by post and if your actual order is via the net or phone make sure you reference the two together, posting a day in advance of your order would probably also help.
Your form can be sent to a Core or Associate retailer it makes no difference.
Please make sure you include a copy of your game site insurance with your game site application form. This has to state clearly that Airsoft is covered, this should be listed after where it says Activities / Business or have the Insured name as Bloggs Airsoft Site, and have a start and valid expiry date. A cover note is often not a lot of good as they tend to expire after 30 days.
Where the word skirmish or skirmisher has been used anywhere in relation to the UKARA game site and player registration scheme it is purely in the descriptive use of the word skirmish intr.v. skir·mished, skir·mish·ing, skir·mish·es
Noun: skirmisher
1. Someone who skirmishes (e.g., as a member of a scouting party). as indicated by HM Government, an Airsoft player gaming on a registered game site.
UKARA is offering free membership for all qualifying game sites, plus no charge for player registration.
If your game site decides to charge you to join as a game site member that is outside UKARA's remit.
We obviously hope any charges made are reasonable, and in line with any additional costs incurred by games sites own player membership scheme.
If you think your site is using the VCRA as an unreasonable money making scheme, complain to them to justify the cost, or vote with your feet if you can.
The UKARA list of registered game sites is updated daily.
If a game site does not appear on the list then either it has not applied, the application is still in transit, or application has been held up by due to insurance verification problems.
If a site is not on the list then it cannot be considered UKARA Game site until it is.
Please do not jump the gun and start advertising or using the UKARA logo before you have been approved. This goes for both Game Sites and Retailers.
Player form down loads pass 5600 as of 8/10/07, so over half way to the theoretical total number of Airsofters in the UK.
We are sorry to keep banging on about the same thing.
Please as a players or game sites make sure your form is clearly written.
We have had to resort to checking Multi map to confirm address are correct, and that is just from the relativity few Game Site application forms.
PRINT CLEARLY just the fact you have used capital letter is not good enough if you have rushed it, and it ends up looking like a squiggle.
Illegible forms will be rejected, so do it right first time.
Download of Player application forms has passed 3000 having clocked up nearly an additional 1000 in less than 2 days. But don't forget there is no time limit on this. You only need to register to purchase RiF's not to play Airsoft.
And if you are a regular player on a site there is no reason why you cannot be verfied immediately with a previous acceptable history of play. The 3 times over 2 months rule applies to players unknown at a site, or fresh to the Sport.
There already seems to be some confusion on how the UKARA Scheme works.
One retailer has been contacted by a player who is under the impression that because his site is now on the UKARA list, he personally does not have to apply, this is wrong.
Registration procedure is a 4 stage process.
1. Game site registers with UKARA
2. Game site signs up players as members
