"In relation to other accusation we are still checking the validity of them."
This phrase was written at the end of the UKARA statement Posted January 23rd, 2008 by admin
This was not meant as a reference to Ground Zero but as reference to other rumours such as the one about Wolf etc.
None of the other accusations that had been made have had any evidence to back them up and therefore can only be considered as urban myth and gossip rather than factual at this moment in time.
Allegations associated with Wolf Armoury in reference to database entries by them have been investigated and found to be
total unfounded.
The entrées have been independently double checked, and have all been cleared by the games site official who originally had been led to suspect them from third party information.
Although we are not obliged to publish our associations internal affairs on this occasion we have chosen to do so.
The UKARA Committee has been reviewing the evidence relating to accusations levelled at several UKARA members of malpractice.
In relation to Ground Zero Game Site we remain unconvinced that it has breached the UKARA code of conduct.
The message on Ground Zeros game web site was poorly worded causing some readers confusion.
UKARA has asked them to change this to improve the clarity.
They state their message intent was to say :~
There have been various allegations recently made about misconduct by UKARA members.
We are always prepared to deal with any genuine issues raised and if found to be substantiated will act in a suitable manner.
The current situation is under review.
We have no interest in hearsay, supposition, or anonymous claims.
If you believe you are in the possession of creditable evidence of breaches of our code please use the contact form.
What ever the results of these allegations no genuinely registered player will be removed from the database list.
We have been told by a member of HM Revenue and Customs Coventry International Hub that they will accept for clearance evidence for RiF imports the following.
1)A copy of your UKARA completed registration form with signatures and stamps from the gaming sites and/or;
2)A copy of your membership card for a gaming site and/or;
3)A letter on headed paper from the gaming site to confirm you are a member of their site.
And that the 1st would probably be the preference. As 3 can easily be forged.
UKARA does not provide members cards in any form, your game site should be the ones to issue a members card suitable for your needs.
A UKARA Retailer should accept your UKARA Database number via Phone or Net and send to the registered listed address.
If you make a personal visit to a UKARA Retailer then your UKARA database number plus suitable documentary proof of ID should be acceptable.
The Retailer is still within his rights to refuse to sell at all if they should choose too.
This Game Site has been sold and removed from the registered list.
No further Player registration will be accepted using its registration details.
Please contact Admin for advise it you are part way through registering.
With Second Hand sales the responsibility is with the vendor to establish the right of the purchaser to buy.
This applies to all sales withing the UK but there are exceptions, certain areas such as Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man are not covered under the new VCR Act and therefore vendors are not obliged to check if purchasers from these areas can use any of the defenses provided in the Act.
It is unlikely that game sites,retailers, or players in these area would be listed on the UKARA System as they have no need to do so.
Would game site please be very careful to make sure they do not duplicate player numbers, this has happened a number of time now ending up with two retailers trying to enter the same user ID for 2 different players. These appear to have just been clerical errors but the fewer the better .
Unfortunately it can hold up a player completing their purchase which can be very frustrating.
All at UKARA wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
It has been a difficult year for Airsoft Players, Retailers and Game Sites, but hopefully now the worst is over and 2008 will be a better for all now that most of the ground work following the Violent Crime Reduction Act has swung into action.
The UKARA Scheme is up and running, we have some minor upgrades to do to the database system in the New Year. and there still seems some delays and confusion between players, sites and registration.
