Due to the inception date of the UKARA scheme many players will be starting to get emails telling them they need their registration updating.
In parallel to the email they received there should have been a duplicate sent to their registered game site warning them of the need to update their player.
It is the game site of which they are a member who should update the registration for them on the database through the game site portal.
Retailers
If you are asked to sell to a re-enactor quoting membership of Battle Orders Historical Re-Enactment Club Ltd you should seek alternative evidence of eligibility, due to attempted abuse of their system, the company has withdrawn its service considering the liability risk too high.
There is no Junior membership scheme to the UKARA database.
The database is only for the registration of players aged 18 or over.
Spartan Airsoft has ceased trading and been removed from the list of game sites if you were a member there you will need to register at a different UKARA game site.
Game sites should remove any player no longer a member of their game site from the UKARA list, please edit the player through your access portal, by clicking on their number and un-ticking the Active box.
If a player is no longer a member of your game site they are no longer eligible to purchase RiF's and should not be on the UKARA database.
Originally it was intended for players to stay on the database providing they made a purchase which require their database entry to be challenged by a UKARA Retailer.
After consultation it was decided that the system would have greater integrity if Airsoft Skirmishers entries were updated directly by the games site or club of which they are a member.
The VCR Act allowance for RiF sales to players was made on the understanding that only players who are members of suitably insured game sites would be allowed to purchase, thus the need for member site to be able to remove non players.
Whilst it is not part of UKARA's mandate to gather information or take direct action against its own members or other retailers, we would remove any retailer prosecuted for a breach of the law concerning the application of the Violent Crime Reduction Act from our membership.
If a member of the public thinks any retailer is recklessly selling Realistic imitation Firearms to any non eligible member of the public they should contact their local trading standards or police. Ignorance is no defence in the eyes of the law.
UKARA needs to be notified of your new insurance expiry date when it is due for renewal.
If confirmation is not received before the previous expiry date the site will go into suspension on the database, you should received an email warning of this pending event if not please contact Admin.
We must apologise for an email glitch which has meant emails to the Contact gateway have been logged but not received.
We are working through this backlog as quickly as possible, if you have sent an important email which you could not find the answer to on our Q&A page please send it again. Post will be dealt with in priority so please refrain from the "I am 14 and want to import from HK variety" at least for the moment.
In event of player misconduct resulting in expulsion from a UKARA registered game site please consult UKARA Admin for protocol before making any entry changes.
